Kallen would enter a small clearing. She had one goal in mind and that was to learn the First Gate, The Gate of Opening. She would walk out smelling the sweet grass and the occasional drop of the rain that had passed could be heard. She paid it no mind though as she would smile and then sit down in an exciting arrangement. She had purposefully done a special little scouting of this area and noted the upward pikes that rose out of the ground like stumps as she would know those would be what she wanted to use for her training. This would all go by well though if she could open the gate.
Kallen would sit down on one of the few knowledgeable stumps as she would go deep in her meditation as if she were to open the cosmos from within but like all people the gate of opening needs first to be opened and for that Kallen would have to bypass one of her memories as she would then delve into the mind to do just that. She of course would not expect it to be a memory, if it can be called that, of her sister entering her. It would be one of those connections between twins that always had been there as she would watch and witness the ironic death of her sister.
For some reason watching this angered her, an appropriate response for an inappropriate reason. She wanted to be the one to actually kill her sister after so long of having a sister whom would go out, train, and be the demon that no doubt the Kaguya clan was. Of course she would soon see the thing in itself. The thought of her hatred for her sister’s life; that she had to bypass it in her meditation so that she could overcome the gate and open one thought’s dance. A dance to open the mind’s restriction on one’s self. She would not be able to get out of this though.
Kallen would then do the thing she could only do and that was delved deeper. She could tell the meditation was indeed helping her out but how much more of the past did she need to dig into. It would be then the one thing she never regretted but did feel responsible for, the deaths of everyone inside the Kaguya clan. Everyone was dead and lying everywhere with slashes about their bodies, bones halfway protruding out of them. It was as though they were in the spots of protecting someone… But Kallen didn’t know who as she mentally walked through this setting.
She would then come across a woman, a woman who was her mother and the one who was being protected by everyone else. She was there holding a small scroll that had held the secrets of the clan. Kallen would grab it and read it and it instead held a message, a message of regrets and understanding. “The Kaguya are not beasts as we are portrayed to be. We are instead the only ones known to protect each other with our lives and bodies being the tools of protection and for that we were always being known for our demonic ability of bone growth. It is not a curse… but a gift.” There was more to it than that but the blood had smudged it all out as Kallen would fall to her knees understanding now the reason to why she herself never attempted to kill off the clan but cowardly created a group to kill them. She would raise her head, wipe her tears, and now cleared the final step with an awakening of her body as she now knew what it meant to have a family and what it meant to use the Gate of Opening…
