So I see the point system is nice and all.. but ummm.. Its all people are focused on and to be honest, we can't get any RPing done when we have to constantly subtract points

I have seen other sites do that and TNRPG did that for a long time

Just one big topic and you had to enter IC and post IC and get the jutsu, an NPC then gave you the stuff and you were on your way.

I think the biggest issue was the handing out of free points in april and may.

I think going along with the ....I know people will hate it

1. If you go inactive for more than two weeks, no warning, you lose all you points.

2. A seperate cat for absent people so they cant gain points

3. No posting no paying, bank transfers are only allowed by people who have an approced char

your last part confused me and I thought you literally meant they should have a cat I was like... wtf? anyways..
My opinion is people focus on points as it seems there's no other way to get things, since getting a teacher is nice an all, but the complex part of finding someone who is going to teach them and not kill them in the process. So really how you look at it people are going to be unhappy when it comes to point, since everyone really just wants freebies.
If you lower the prices everyone will go crazy and buy everything then everyone knows too much.
If you lower wages and such people will complain everything is too expensive
However I believe that we need to keep that in mind as in the show people only really had a few jutsu that I recall.

Either way I support the actual rping in shops it would get the rping counter up, however it wouldn't solve the problem as then everyone would just rp buying stuff all the time :/ we'd still get nowhere

As for what Suno said I believe perhaps we should bring the student sensei system back as then people will have people to learn justu from instead of having to but it from. The only real problem with it last time was that we didn't have enough higher ranking officials to teach them. But that would involve more rules and stuff.

Like was said no matter what you do someone won't be happy, so really it's deciding what's the lesser of the evils.

Anyways I don't know what else to say, but that's my observations and input.

I dont think an IC shop is the way to go. I personally would rather just keep shit the way it is, with a slight boost in tps prices

What we COULD DO is adjust the stat system a bit.

I can make it so that you loose a point for everyday that you here. So you can't simply just sit on your ass and collect points.

well see that's a bit hard as some people get stuck in topics and can't reply so because someone else doesn't post you end up going negative :/

I don't see how that solves anything. Either way people are gonna spend points they receive because it the currency of the site. Our economy is pretty much booming all over(oh how i wish this was real life). The problem is the rate everyone is spending and we all have to keep calculating. You want to slow it down, then we need to enter a recession and prices will need to be inflated. No one will be happy true, but is anyone ever happy? Now I propose an idea that will make it rather creative. Link this inflation to the status of the RP world.

So lets say a land is being attacked by another. The attacking lands 'group' should receive reduced prices, lets say 10 of everything they purchase.

Then the land being attacked gets a price increase, everything cost 10 more for that group.

Now we could tie in the IC shops to keep better tab of the increase. Each land gets a shop section controlled by NPC staff. This section would also show if there is an recession or a state of prosperity.

That's just an idea, a lot probably needs to be said to remove the kinks.

Im sorry, but a day or two in a topic is not going to send someone with 500 points into the negative. It is not even going to send someone with 5 points into the negative.


Anyway.. Yes Inactive people loose all there points

Dante's idea SEEMS like a good idea, but it could be more headache and more numbers for people to keep track of.

And the idea I suggest was a bit funky as it does not subtract one from everyday, but it subtracts one for everyday that you are here. So if you are here for 1 month (30 days) and you have 100 points. 30 points will automatically be subtracted and for every additional day, another point would come of.

IC shops slow down things because it is not just... "Hey I need jutsu or HEY I need weapons so I am going to go get one, despite the fact that I am in 3 topics already" Now what we could do is this.. in order to purchase from the shop, you cannot be in any RP topics. Thus someone has to leave whatever they are doing in RP and go get them.


The Sensei system... the problem last time was higher ranks. But if we can use the province system to it's full potential, we won't have to worry about ranking up and what not. Only problem is, the point issue is keeping the province system from going all out.
So this is what I suggest. We make a rule that only sensei can BUY jutsu and teach them to other people. That is now less people BUYING jutsu because only a hand full can now do that. We also make a rule that a sensei cannot kill their students, unless their students attack them. Thus we get rid of the problem with sensei being cold blood killers. LAST but not least, we make the amount of students a sensei can have to either be unlimited or we bump it up to 5 or something.

^That sounds like a good idea. That way, there's no huge overflow of point for a person, and it's easier for people to find senseis.

But that means we HAVE to have students.. Not cool. e_e;

Well fine, while we are on points and points seem to be the center of the world. If we make students unlimited, why not give sensei's points for all the amount of jutsu that they teach their students.

I can go with that. Sure.

I don't think it should be required to have a student at certain ranks, because some people like to go solo. However I do believe it should be required if you want to be able to buy jutsu, otherwise jutsu should be learned IC.

Ok fine fine.. It is NOT required to have students. But follow me on this.

Let's say I bring back missions, but only genin and chunin/special jounin can do them.

Now before you flip out and say "HEY! THATS UNFAIR! IMMA JOUNIN HOW AM I GONNA MAKE MONEY!"

Now, lets say only Jounin and up can make missions and get paid for it.

Then we say, Jounin and up can ALSO make money buy teaching jutsu to people. Lets say 25 points per jutsu that you teach.

Now, you can't complain if you want to ride solo because there are ways to make money.. but if you embrace the system you will become rich.

That seems fair enough to me. I just like the idea of not being forced into doing something but rather having the option and knowing the consequence.
